uh... I posted about the Ixtoc Oil Spill of 1980 and how that damaged the environment around South Padre Island and the the oil company responsible never paid a dime to the State of Texas nor to Federal government. AND, that was one of the largest oil spills in history - usually ranking 2nd but it has been moved to 3rd recently -

The Deep Water Horizon spill that is ongoing in the Gulf is now the 16th largest spill in history.
JD, just because you can't get your facts correct doesn't mean that this isn't an oil spill. And just because you can't quite grasp the reality of the problem, nor place it within the geologic history of the earth doesn't mean sea turtles are not suffering.
It is petroleum. Petroleum is made up of the hydrocarbon remains of living tissues that are now dead and have undergone a polymerization process.
That's the point you were struggling with earlier. You thought petroleum came from an oil company and was
NOT a naturally occurring toxin.
That's what we were arguing about...
