This is the New Year's message I sent to our family today!
We must
emphasize the importance of getting the Word of God in our hearts.

Before she left for Glory a few days ago, Sis. Nona Freeman left a message for the New Year
to encourage those still here, to "HIDE THE WORD". No one can steal what we have inside.
Before our late father left for Glory, he had marked in his well worn Bible that in 1989, he had
finished his Bible reading schedule early (Sept) and then he went HOME in Oct. 89. He had read
his Bible through the last 13 yrs of his life. That was not counting all the previous yrs as a teenager
that his late mother had read and taught her young son to pray, and read GOD's WORD. She not
only taught him to read the WORD, but read and studied it with him. No wonder his children today
know the importance of getting God's Word in our hearts.
Dad emphasized reading God's Word all
of our lives. And praying. Daily! How long can we go without natural food! and drink! The spiritual man
is more important and how often do we feed the inner/spiritual man!
To all the younger ones, you may not understand all you read, BUT IF you will read it, it will do you
GOOD! Many do not like broccoli, spinach, carrots, veggies, etc., but "EAT" it anyway. It will do you good, although you may not understand why until later!
