this is the Abomination of Desolation, the man of sin setting himself up in god"s temple<claiming to be GOD

Nero did that in the first century and every Christian alive immediately thought of the beast and man of sin. In fact that was the FIRST interpretation of
2 Thess 2 for centuries, until someone else started a NEW idea.
But where does it say anything about confirming a covenant?
Quote:
Let's examine Daniel 9:26 After those 62 weeks the Messiah will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the COMING PRINCE will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood and until the end there will be war desolations are decreed.
Daniel's prophecy speaks of the coming prince.Who is this COMING prince
Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one seven .

The coming prince has nothing to do with the covenant, becuase HE IS A SIDE ISSUE grammatically speaking, and not the subject. The MESSIAH is the subject in verse 26. Not the coming prince.
Daniel 9:26-27 KJV And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah (THE SUBJECT OF THE WRITING HERE) be cut off, but not for himself: and the people (SECONDARY ISSUE) of the prince that shall come (THIRD ISSUE, in line behind his (2) PEOPLE and the (1) MESSIAH) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. (27) And he (THE MESSIAH) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (Jesus died 3.5 years after He began preaching when He confirmed the covenant- GAL. 3:16-17): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (Jesus dies 3.5 years after he preaches and ceases sacrifices - Heb 10:1-2, 14), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
See how scriptures say the identical things about the cross if we consider there is no gap and the cross is the only thing to occur without gap of years? I mean, who would think of a gap here anyway? That is ridiculous!
If there is no gap, as you admitted you had no bible for that, then after the 69 weeks JESUS COMES and MINISTERS. And this begins the 70th week. No gap. And 3.5 years later after Jesus ministers, he dies on the cross. That death caused sacrifices to cease.
If this is Jesus, like I say, and you say it is antichrist, then you might be in a whole lot of trouble with the Lord because Jesus said if you call the work of God to actually be the work of the devil, then that cannot be forgiven. And since you have no bible for a gap, then you had better take another serious look at all of this because with NO GAP THERE, it perfectly works out to be Jesus!
Quote:
In the middle of the seven he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolations, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
The sacrifice and offering will be put to an end because the lawlessness one sats himself up in God's temple, proclaiming to be God demanding sacrifice and offerings be made to him. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over every thing that is called God or is worshiped ,so that he sets himself up in God's temple ,proclaiming himself to be God.

Nothing in
2 Thess 2 says anything about causing sacrifices to cease. Nothing. But my view literally has scripture that explicitly says Jesus' death caused sacrifices to cease, and that occurred 3.5 years after He first ministered. You even admit Jesus came after 69 weeks. So if there is no gap,. as you admit you have no bible for, then count as though there is no gap AND SEE HOW JESUS FITS THE PICTURE! And you are calling His work to be the work of the devil?????
Take a look again, easter.

Let's see what Jesus our Lord said about THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION
Matthew 24:15 So when you see standing in the holy place the Abomination that causes desolation spoken of through the prophet Daniel(let the reader understand)

That occurred in the same generation to whom Jesus spoke, in AD70, only forty years (same generation period) later.
Quote:
John 14:28 You heard me say,I am going away and I am coming back to you,If you loved me,you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
John 14:29 I have told you now before it happens,so that when it does happen you will believe.
John 14:30 I will not speak with you much longer, for THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD IS COMING He has no hold on me.
SATAN IS THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD
The lawlessness one,The Man of Sin,is indwelled by Satan.
|
Satan is indeed the prince of this world, but Jesus was talking about the CROSS and being crucified in this passage in
John 14! the cross had not yet occurred in
John 14, you know. So you are AGAIN removing the cross from the focal point in these verses now.
Quote:
This is who Daniel was prophesy about in
Daniel 9:26 The coming Prince and the city that was destroyed by his people, means THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS will come from the people that was responsible for the Destruction of Jerusalem in 70 Ad.Some think it will be out of a revived Roman Empire or an Assyrian.

You got all this from man since the bible says nothing about a gap. So man told you about the gap, and you cannot find one verse that says the the man of sin causes sacrifices to cease. Do what I did. Throw out all views you ever heard, after hearing various views, and then approach the entire issue from a fresh
out-of-the-box approach. Pray God direct your understanding with the bible. And really ask yourself WHY you believe certain verses propose any give thought, and honestly see if the bible really plainly says that. You should, you know, for you already know there is no gap in the bible. And without a gap, my view of Jesus in
Dan 9:27 fits well. And that makes the CROSS THE FOCUS OF THE PROPHECY, whereas your view totally eradicates the cross from the picture.
