Is it a good thing to have our faith shaken once in a while?

One thing I do know...while I have strong opinions and a penchant for not swallowing hook-line-sinker, even a somewhat (okay, that is understated) critical/cynical nature...I am not above (and hope to never be) seeing shortcomings, faults and fissures in my own life...

God has a knack for trusting His kids so that if we say we believe something, He thinks that we can handle the package that comes along with the power those beliefs bring...so when the tests/trials/shake up occurs, our faith is to be built up especially if we live in His word

This is one reason why believing in false doctrine is so dangerous...God will allow us to suffer the consequences of believing in heresy because he trusts us to be able to handle it...when those beliefs fail the same tests of faith, then, through His grace, we can recover from the harm our beliefs and actions cause...and our faith can still become stronger through the truth of His word...
