I have told my husband many times that our ladies group needs to lunch there in the restaurant and have a big prayer meeting. It would rid the house of devils and cause
a lot of ruckus..lol.

Thanks for sharing the info. And I agree, a prayer meeting would rid the house of any spirits and I believe that it would be in order.

As for helping spirits cross over I cannot see Bible for that.
Please if you can give me a proof text or any instance where the early church
did this. I am open to Bible.
Thanks

If I were to provide Bible, I'd have to provide the countless numbers of Scriptures admonishing that we pray for all men. The way I see it is like this; if they are a human spirit, we treat them no differently than how we'd treat the living. When the living are dying we pray that their soul be comforted and we hand them over to the hands of God. If it's a human spirit of one who has passed and they are lingering, I see it as though they are merely in the process of dying...because they've not passed on entirely. Again, pray for comfort and the aid of the Lord in their passing.
I think that we often sit on the sidelines of life without knowing the spiritual authority, role, and power of the church regarding deep spiritual issues merely because our "religion" doesn't know what to do or is too afraid to choose what to do. Why surrender the spiritual realm to safely practice religion? The practice of "religion" hinders spiritual growth, power, and knowledge. This is why most don't know the difference between an unclean spirit and a demon.
