What's most concerning about this is the flagerent abuse of power that they used to inject politics into the Justice Dept. That's a clear line that should never be crossed. They basically wanted their political enemies prosecuted whether the prosecutor felt they had broken the law or not. When fair minded Prosecutors wouldn't pursue the case against their rivals, they decided to fire those Prosecutors and replace them with political hacks who would pursue their enemies.
Very Nixon-esque type of behavior.
