2. Who has the most impact on environmental decisions (such as the right to drill for oil) that affects the livelihood of the United States in general and Alaska in particular?
3. Who has the ability to vote in the CAP and TRADE TAX that will destroy the American economy by killing jobs and the middle class, creating more government intrusion with more room for political corruption in the name of an unproven global warming theory that more and more scientists consider unproven and unlikely?
Given the fact that Sarah Palin is a voice that much of America responds to; is it really so hard to fathom that she could do more good for Alaska if she wasn't governor at this critical point in our history?

Newman, what is incredible to me is that you and others who I know to be very intelligent people are so drawn to defend this that you all may be bordering on the illogical.
Who has greater control over Alaska? Perhaps the governor that they elected to govern them has greater control than someone who is a private citizen with absolutely no real power after July 26 or whatever date she quits. Perhaps the person who swore an oath to represent and govern that state has a pretty significant voice and a bit of control over the destiny of Alaska. Is the much vaunted executive experience we heard so much about here during the general election that irrelevant?
Do you question the role and importance that Governor Arnold has in California? Is he irrelevant and powerless in this critical time in his state's history. Should he and all the other governors quit and become private citizens to that they can fight Washington?
If I had the time or thought it would do any good, I would go find the specific oath of office she took but.....
