In a daring move, President Barak Obama personally led a team of Navy SEALS (or some kind of navy peeps) in an operation to retrieve a hostage.
This is the first attempted hostage resucue by a Democrat President since 1980. In fact, this comes almost 27 years to the day after the last attempt by Jimmy Carter that ended miserably in the Iranian desert. That abortive rescue was doomed by the commanders in DC overlooking the need for dust filters on the helicopter intakes. Who would have thought a jet intake would need a dust filter in the middle of the Iranian desert?
Not to be deterred by his predecessor's errors, Obama not only equipped the SEALS with dust filters, but in compliance with OSHA regulations he ordered all Naval combatants to don "water wings" for the duration of the operation. This order included all Navy personnel including the Naval recruiters in Amarillo.
