Obama Baby Humor
My wife is the nanny to a very smart toddler about 18 months old. This little girl knows the names of everybody in my family and extended family, all of the dogs, etc.
She is even putting short sentances together now. If you show her something and tell her what it is or if it is a person their name she remembers it and can clearly speak it later.
A few months ago my wife noticed that when Barak Hussein Obama would be on the TV screen (she watches a lot of Fox News) or a computer screen this little toddler would point and say "Obama!".
We were proud of her being so smart but not surprised based on everything else she does. The funny part though is when we pointed this out to her dad one day when he was picking her up he sheepishly said that there was more to the story.
While she could accurately pick out Barak Obama on a TV screen or computer screen at home, in public when she would see a black man, any black man, she would point at him and proudly exclaim "Obama!"

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
