The more I get to know God, and what He desires, the more it takes my breath away when I look around and realize what's happening all around me. People who desperately love God and pursue relationship with Him, and desire more of Him engage in things that are so opposite of His desires.
I really don't care what you do as far as celebrating Christmas, I've said that over and over and over again. You'll answer to God, and He's a just and merciful, gracious, compassionate and loving God.
Editing to add one more thought. It may be possible to truly use Christmas day to honor God without tying any of the pagan influence into it. I would love to hear about that to be honest, because the influence is so very strong and woven into the culture we live in.

I can see many European cultural influences in our cultural traditions, but nothing we do is "pagan". No pagan gods are invoked, no rituals with muttering the names of pagan deities, no blood sacrifices, etc. It's all be
reduced to seasonal decorations. By the way, I'm European and I'm proud of my European cultural heritage.
