This Week with George Stephanopolos recently had John McCain as the guest. During the interview Stephanopolos asked McCain if he would support Sarah Palin if she ran for President in 2012. Here is what was said:
STEPHANOPOULOS: You said, after the election, that Governor Palin has a bright future in your party. Does that mean that, if she does chooses to run for president, she can count on your support?
MCCAIN: Oh, no. Listen, I have the greatest appreciation for Governor Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them. [..]But I can't say something like that.
Just a month ago McCain said Palin was the best choice to run the country should something happen to him if elected President. Now, a few weeks later, he already won't endorse her in 2012?? It sure appears the claims that McCain and his camp was not too happy with Palin was true.
