How close should a pastor get to the members?

The UPC has a judical procedure to deal with grievances, but then again it is a man made organization and subject to all the shortcoming that such entails.

I am against filing charges with the org.

I prefer to do it the Bible way, saint or preacher, and I have practiced what I preach when it would have been far easier to do otherwise.
