The dumbest thing I did...
Ok, folks I need a laugh or two. What is the dumbest thing you ever did... or started to do?
1. DID: A piece of trim came off a car I use to own. No problem! Superglue to the rescue. Valuable lesson learned: Superglue is great for sticking a piece of trim back on your car. 2nd Valuable lesson learned: It doesn't take much Superglue on your fingers to stick YOU to the car. 3rd (and most important) Valuable Lesson learned: It hurts like everything to "pry" yourself from the side of your car when you have been Superglued to it!
2. ALMOST DID: Trying to remove a brittle piece of rubber hose on my motor home. It was "stuck" on a steel line. Idea: Heat the leaking rubber line with propane torch. Rubber softens, slides off of steel line. KIDS...DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME... especially if, like me, you are working on a gasolne fuel line! I didn't do it, but I had already gotten the torch and lit it and was about to touch it to the line when the patron saint of people who's about to do something really stupid spoke to me and said, "Huh... I wouldn't do that, if I were you".
Ok, bravehearts. share YOUR greatest blunder and/or near blunder! C'mon, we won't laugh at you, we'll laugh with you!
This is in honor of Timmy who inspired this thread with his "Replacing water filter is EASY" post!
