Not everyone feels comfortable addressing this topic, and some do. So why close the thread? Those who want to talk about it seriously will, and those who don't--won't.
I don't see how it's "pointless"...I think a few good points have been brought up so far. Is there something missing here that you wanted to see addressed? Not everyone can identify with your specific concern, but most people can address the topic in general.
Oh, don't be dramatic. You having second thoughts about posting doesn't indicate our lack of ability to discuss the topic.
Here--I'll give it a shot:
If you have a foot fetish, and women all around you are baring their feet...pray and look up. There you go. That is the best you can do. LOL!!!! I can guarantee that women are not going to start covering their feet, nor should they need to. Is that too simplistic a solution?
How do men who are attracted to the female form in general keep their thoughts pure when they encounter curves every day, scantily clad or otherwise? I don't really see what having a particular "fetish" has to do with the overall scheme of things.

You took it the wrong way. Do I think there have been good things said - yes. However, talking about something serious in an atmosphere where people are talking about biscuits is not fitting to say the least. Humor is a great tool, but only in the right setting and with sensitivity to the topic. Sitting behind a screen doesn't grant people a fair judgement of their real etiquette.
Yes, I have second thoughts. I'll give you the high road with the ability to discuss the topic. Don't care to argue that point with you.
I don't think a woman should cover her feet. If you read my post, I stated that. Saying "look up" is certainly simplistic to say the least. Put most men in a "safe" environment and have all the women take their tops off. Doesn't mean every man in there has some vicious demon of lust... means women don't have their tops on and men are attracted to that in a very obscene way (back to what others were saying). This isn't a blame game (men vs. women) this is an accountability with the brotherhood and sisterhood.
I will take the book advice and some of the comments as good advice and move on. The peanut gallery can move on to the next post.
