I'd seen the CBS poll claiming voters thought Obama had done better, but I wasn't sure of the validity of a CBS poll. Gallup released a poll today confirming that.
More than anything I'm surprised at the large margin in both polls. Gallup pegs it at 46% Obama and 34% McCain. It would be interesting to go in those numbers and get the "why's". I'm still not sure why anyone could declare either one the definite winner, but the polling now supports it.
