Although I am not sure I agree completely, I heard one woman say that she is against abortion and would probably never have an abortion, but she didn't want the government tell her what to do with her family and her body, etc.
Could be this is the same argument. Many Christians DO have the ability to think for themselves, to filter out the bad and all that. Although I hate TV, I don't believe the majority of what is on there is of any value, but I can choose for my family and don't need the mandate of the church bylaws indicating me how to impose, regulate, or implement morality.
I believe folks CAN own a TV and CAN own a computer and still be consistent with the Word of God.
