My mom is from Wichita Falls, and she always talks about how miserable the humidity in TX is, but I don't know. It seems to me that it can't be worse than blistering, searing heat. IMO.
I guess I would have to live there to ever make a real comparison. With the humidity, how do those temps that you listed actually play out? I know that I have heard that it feels hotter because of the humidity.
My daughter went to Houston last summer, and she said that the humidity didn't bother her that much.
Dizz, I guess the easiest way to explain it is that the humidity acts like insulation. trapping heat in, but still letting more heat in.
