So lets say you decide to let them come into your church, do you inform everyone of their pasts or just not say anything? And then if God forbid they rape someone or molest a child what do you say then? What if it is your wife, daughter, sister, mother, or son......?

I see your point. The thing that bothers me is, Where is the seperation of church and state we hear so much about. The church is to stay out of politics but politics has no qualms about coming into the church. I have a couple friends who are registered sexd offenders. It happened many years ago and was a one time slip up. They have been squeeky clean since.
I think church members should know if a person has been convicted of a sex crime.
