Hoonah is a City and has a Mayor and City Council and planning and Zone Committee.Lots of Politicians. It has always been a city since we moved here. not a very large one by comparison to the lower 48 states. It also is a Tlingit Indian Village as the Tlingit's are the highest percent of the residents here.
