I think that this might be an over assumption, but you might not be that far off. For something to happen at a district function does not exactly mean that the district or the officials endorse that thing. I was at IL camp years ago and saw some intersting stuff. A lady dancing in the spirit-there was no doubt she was in the spirit-but she was dancing like a ballet dancer. They did not endorse that, but allowed it to happen. I am against the magic hair thing, but I do there is power in faith. If one has faith that hair brings angels then angels may arrive and it not be due to the hair but due to the faith. I for a while when going to Applebees would not sit at the high-top tables close to the bar. Felt it was wrong for me. I really profitted from that. I do sit at them now, but at that time I didn't need that and it did bring me some extra things spiritually cause of the faith not because of physically not sitting there.
