Without reading anything into her statements, I think we can agree that the story does say "in obedience to Your Word", but that requires ignoring the rest

This comment simply isn't true. It is obvious from her post that she believes her uncut hair gives her special favor and/or powers with God. You'd have to be reading with your eyes closed not to see that. Come on. When you close your eyes to the facts, you discredit yourself in any discussion. If you can't have an honest discussion, your opinions just won't really hold water. Being honest means acknowledging when your opponents actually have a point.
The following quote alone shows that she believes her hair is something more than just a sign of her obedience to God:
