He is simply speaking of our belief that He came to be what He said He would be and why He came. That is what the "belief" and "faith" is all about.
Acts 20:21 "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
You still have to contend with Peter's message and what happened in Samaria and what happened in Cornelius's life.
