To share a little about my life outside of church, I'm excited about a project that I'm heading up!
I am forming an organizing committee for a Steinway Piano Competition for the state of Tennessee! We plan give college scholarships of up to $25,000 to the winners. Here's my committee so far:
Dr. Dan Landes - Piano Dean at Belmont University
Dr. Jerome Reed - Artist and top piano professor at Lipscomb University
Marilyn Shields-Wiltsie - World reknown concert pianist and Steinway artist
Mark Blakeman - General manager of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra
Lucinda Hall - Owner of Lucinda Hall Public Relations (top media relations firm in TN)
Debra Nelson - piano teacher - officer in NAMTA (piano teachers assoc.)
Bev Carroll - piano teacher - officer in NAMTA (piano teachers assoc.)
Brandon Herrenbruck - represent ownership/management of Steinway Piano Gallery of Nashville.
Will Griffin - Music host/producer for WPLN radio (public radio station in Nashville)
ME - redneck!
These are all movers and shakers (except me!) in the music community here in Nashville.
With this group, it should be very successful!
