Pressing, I have the Smith and Wesson M&P in the .40 cal. I love it. The .40 has no more recoil than a 9mm of any other make. You'll love the interchangeable grip feature. They have a nice small grip option for smaller hands.

I have the full size version (15 shot mag - 1 in chamber). They also have the 40 in a compact size (10 shot mag - 1 in chamber) I'm considering purchasing soon.
