Really? Our pastor's wife usually speaks on Mother's Day, and she always does a great job!
Pastor's wives, even if they don't teach from the pulpit, often teach ladies' classes, AND they can and do influence what their husband teaches--or doesn't. I've known several pastors who left it up to their wives to teach all the standards to their ladies.
