1. I don't think that anyone should have to pay to attend GC. Just my personal opinion, which I expressed last year on this thread.
2. I know of one well-known outreach-evangelist who has and does hand out money (or anything else) that he thinks will entice folks to come to church. It's a more common practice than you might think. In fact, I think I remember my Dad handing out $1 bills on Saturdays to get kids to ride the bus to church on Sundays!!!!!
Ya'll are making mountains out of molehills, first of all, and secondly, I think you really don't understand bishop1 or his style of posting. Plus, I agree with him that we shouldn't be charging money for folks to attend big meetings, unless they are closed events that aren't open to the public.
