John Wesley and Finney were tongue talkers. They had a heavenly gift and scarcely realized what they had. Amazing. My grandmother who was born at the end of the Civil War was an old time Methodist. She remembered when the Methodist used to get the "goose jabbers," speaking in a funny language. Many of them had to be carried home in wagons. Some went out in visions and saw glorious things.
I wonder if we have as much Holy Ghost as they did, even though we have paid careful attention to ALL THEE STEPS.

My wife has told me about her great grand-mom - Sis Womble's mother who they often had to carry home.
Do we have as much Holy Ghost? I think the answer is no. We could have but we just don't commit the way they did. My wife would often go stay with the Womble's and she said they went to someone's home almost every day and had a prayer meeting. If someone was sick they would all gather in that person's home to pray. Don't see that now.
