This can be put over in missions but wanted you folks to see how richly blessed you are. A friend of our son has e mail and they brought me over here to put a few pictures on the forum if I can do it from here. I am so touched to e with these precious people...however my cell phone as long as there is a tower never stops ringing..pastors and people askinig us to come...others asking for help on buildings, or this or that...the needs are ever before us...the burden is great...
I had called Chad and told him to post for me because our son does not have a phone or much less how to get on e mail but a kind friend of his does and offered me to use their equpiment...such sweet people...tomorrow we will go back into where there will be no communication...













Greetings to you in the Sweet name of Jesus from the far backlands of the state of Maranhao.
I am sitting here in a little pagan village watching people come together most for their first time to hear the life changing story of Jesus. It is unbelievable hot and humid and so dry.
These are backland people most do not know how to read and write and most have never traveled outside their village.
If they ever hear it will depend on us…those that have been so richly blessed to know the blessed gospel and have such a blessed hope. These people have never held a bible, never owned a songbook…the young among us know how to read an such an overwhelming desire came over me to give the young a bible…
Sitting here typing I thought of you….of your love for missions, your help, your sacrifice and I thought I am going to ask you my friend if possible to help me buy some bibles for these people…I do not write for me I write in behalf of those that have no one to ask for them except me. We are reaching for their souls, these people are so sweet and kind and I wonder whose fault it was that they were born into such dense spiritual darkness…their darkness pains me. They are our earth brothers and sisters but can only be our spiritual brothers and sisters if they are born into the family of God. Jesus did his part but we must do our part. Salivation is a free gift but how can they receive it if they never know?
If you could send an offering I will deposit it in the maranhao account and have Brother Arlei to go buy bibles to give out to these people. Not only these that I am looking at right now but another village where they have opened up services are asking for bible but others ask daily for bibles.
You may send your help to my home address but please mark on the check for bibles for the jungle work. Help me help these people…for to whom much is given much is required…We have been given much in comparison to the rest of the world.

I am weeping my heart is heavy I cannot write more at the moment…the burden weighs heavy upon me…
