Common Or Unclean.
On the morrow ,as they went on to their journey, and drew nigh unto the city,Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour :
And he became very hungry , and he would have eaten :but while they made ready he fell into a trance,
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him as it had been a great sheet knit on four corners, and let down to the earth :
Wherein were all manner of four footed, beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things and fouls of the air.
And there came a voice to him,Rise, Peter kill and eat.
But Peter said ,Not so Lord: for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.
And the voice spake unto again the second time, What God hath cleansed call not common or unclean.
ACTS.10:9.10,11,12,13,14,15
We live in a world that is skeptical and is filled with unbelief and doubt.
The things of God and people of faith are often ridiculed and held in derision.
But we who are the redeemed of The Lord have nothing to be ashamed of.
The things of God are very precious and mean more than anything that this world can offer.
The redemption, the grace the cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ that we have experienced is not cheap or common place, we should never minimize our walk with God.
We have the treasure of the Holy Spirit in earthen vessels, our walk with God is certainly not common or unclean or cheap.
Our walk with God should be the most valued thing in our lives, the redemption and justfication that we have experienced from our blessed Lord should be highly valued and never thought of as cheap and unclean.
Jesus Christ gave us His very best ,so our cleansing is not common or unclean.
