Who Are These Non-Existent Members Showing In New Members?

In the Newest Members section there are names listed that aren't on the Members List?

I assume they are probably spammers who were deleted or something... I just find it interesting.

Some of them are...
New Wine
Diogenes
Darryl
cltrev

Why are these shown as Newest Members and yet not on the Members List?
