There was a lot of weirdness at Brownsville, because anything like that tends to draw out the flakes. But that's what the media and the opponents all focused on. There really were some true conversions that came out of those meetings, because God's word does not return void, no matter what the setting. Many of the people were sincere and had true life changes.
You shouldn't really judge what happened if you never went, because the reports were mostly biased.
