Actually it was two years and Insulin resistant diabetes ago. While still riding the bike 10 miles a day, eating a controlled diet, and working out 5 to 6 times a week in the gym I gained 40 pounds. that happened in less than two months. I then gained yet another 13 pounds over then next month.
I went from 232 pounds and a 36 inch waist to a high of 285 pounds and a 44 inch waist from September to mid January.
Once the diagnosed my diabetic condition it took two more months to get the medication right. Since March I have dropped from 283 to 252. From 44 inch waist to a 40 inch waist. I still have 40 more pounds I want to lose. It is a battle that never stops with the issue of insulin resistance.
CC1, you should check into it.... they told me it causes weight gain right around the middle (gut and rear end specifically) and you certainly seem to have the symptoms.
Oh and CC1, look at the first picture.. it is more accurate.. the folded arms and the posture of shaming Dan made me look bigger than I really am! (self deception is an art)
