Netflix has produced a movie based on Carlton Pearson's heresy and the fallout because of it, titled "Come Sunday."
If you don't know Pearson or didn't know, Carlton Pearson was the Pastor of a large mega-church in Tulsa, Oklahoma - Higher Dimensions Family Center. At its height, HD had some incredible music and artists. Gary Oliver and Carman were both associated with HD.
A protege of Oral Roberts, Pearson had several albums recorded live at ORU. The "Live At Azusa" recordings were some of my favorites at one time. Mickey Mangun sings on one of the albums (#3, IIRC)
I read several reviews, but have not and likely will not watch the movie. It makes Pearson the hero who made a "courageous" decision to stand by what he believed even though it cost him almost everything.
