What I do know is that there was no chance of ISIS under Hussein. Iraq was relatively stable until we invaded, destroyed their governmental infrastructure, devalued their currency and everything else we did to make sure that Iraq was not functional.
We didn't properly repair what we destroyed. Then, we left them. In the absence of true leadership, ISIS took control. ISIS has American weaponry and American military tanks and hummers because the Iraqi army was weak and because we helped to fund and arm rebels in Syria who were treacherous-- selling and even giving their American weapons away to ISIS.
This kind of stuff happens when there is a lack of leadership and in this case, the lack of leadership is not just over there, but it is in the White House too.
We destroyed Iraq, didn't build it back up properly, and didn't establish the right leaders who would lead in Iraq.
