It appears that you rely upon your own feelings and ideas to assess what others say. If you did have the indwelling Holy Spirit, you would be able to grasp I am not this "Bert" person whom you cannot forgive.
Remember, Jesus clearly stated in
Matthew 6:14-15 you must forgive both "Bert" and me if you are to have your own sins forgiven. And, if your sins are not forgiven, you cannot be part of the Church Bride of Christ, and you will go to Hell.
