This is the audio excerpt from the Savage radio show 9-11-01.
Where were you that day?
I was in shock, driving home from the union hall out of work due to the bad economy. Enron and rolling blackouts in northern Ca. As I drove listening to the radio I heard about all that was going on in NY. As soon as I got home I loaded up my small family in our van and drove all day. Thinking America might be under attack and wanting to be able to escape with my family alive. I held them close stopped only to eat, listening to the radio all day. Calling family and friends across the country.
My wife was praying that morning as she always does with our 3yr old and our newborn, after that she turned to her bible reading chart and lo it was....
Isaiah 30:35
And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
I'm not saying this meant anything or that she or I are spiritual, but it was a very eye opening experience. I also know that others have made more out of this verse. I'm not trying to do that.
Just remembering is all....
