I believe that regardless of a person's personal beliefs, that don't always match the Apostle's doctrine, God can and does use men and women.
Winston Churchill would walk about the city after a bombing to check on the people and see how things had gone or were going.
He is quoted saying, to his bodyguard, "There is someone looking after me besides you."
His bodyguard asks, "You mean Sgt. Davis?"
Winston replies, "No, (pointing a finger to the sky) I have a mission to perform and that person intends to see that it is performed."
Now, to your remark about Christians staying out of civil affairs, you'll have to speak to God about that one. Before George W. Bush was our Governor, the Lord told me in prayer that I needed to pray for him and his wife as he would be our next president.
How would I know that unless the Lord revealed it to me. He wanted me to pray for them, and I did. So, if we are to stay out of political affairs, you'll have to speak to God about it. Apparently, God is very much involved and uses his people as well.
Ted Cruz 2016!

Thank you because repeating myself over and over that Ted Cruz made a mess of the I.D.C. meeting was a bit overboard. You are a faithful follower of Brother John Birch. These politicians will lead you right off a cliff, and while you are hurdling towards terrafirma just remember I told you so.
Not everything that says Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven. That is Biblical fact. Now, as far as God telling you to pray for political leadership, bravo, you have scripture for that, but support, with funds, labor, we have nothing admonishing us to campaign for stooges of the Goldman Sachs and the Federal Reserve.
1 Timothy 2:2 teaches us to pray for those who are in authority, at the time of Paul's letter Nero Caesar was the ruling power. Caesar Nero makes any Democrat (well maybe not Bill Clinton) look like a saint. Nero was twisted almost killing off all his senators, including the teacher who trained him, Seneca. Nero would murder his mother, stomp to death his pregnant wife, have his male servant forcibly castrated and made to marry Nero as his dead wife replacement. Yet,
1 Timothy 2:2 tells us to pray for those ruling over us. Israel was admonished by Jeremiah not to rebel against Nebuchadnezzar, because Nebuchadnezzar was God's servant to bring Judah under punishment for their rebellion against God.
Winston Churchill religious?
If you tried your best to live an honorable life and did your duty and were faithful to friends and not unkind to the weak and poor, it did not matter much what you believed or disbelieved.
Sister, I guess Churchill was like Doran? He wasn't exactly devout.
If you read the Last Lion by Paul Reid, the author doesn't paint Churchill out to be a devout holy man.
Romans 13:1 we are to submit to governing authority and pray that they stay away from us and that they do not hinder what we are doing.
Daniel 4:17 God is in control, total control, and places the leadership over us which we deserve. We are a country which is slouching towards Gomorrah. You may want to read some of Robert Bork, as well as Pat Buchanan. We as a people have mingled with mainstream Churchanity, to the point that we call everything that mutter "Praise Jesus" a Christian. Churchanity became so watered down your ok I'm ok Trinitarian feel good, we are all going to heaven because we name the name of Christ. Bruce Jenner dressed as a woman is an abomination, and supreme court verdicts cause the White House to be lit up in Fag Flag colors. Abraham prayed that if he could find righteous men would God spare the plain cities. None were found and the cities erased from the earth with burning sulphur spewing down from the heavens.
Sister, the apostle wrote that the solider doesn't entangle himself in civilian affairs. I didn't write that, I didn't take that from a secular example myself. The Apostle Paul wrote that to Timothy admonishing him that he was to have one main focus and that was in the work of Jesus Christ. Paul also tells Timothy to pray for political leaders, but doesn't say to campaign for them, or to support them from his (or the churches) personal funds.
Before George W. Bush was our Governor, the Lord told you in prayer that I needed to pray for him and his wife as he would be our next president. That's Biblical, and I can agree with that, but not advocating GEEDUB, or any of the Skull n Bones crew. Pray..YES, support and convince people that these men are just and good...NO! God TOLD YOU who He will make president, so you were to pray. God will make them presidents whether you or I pray, or campaign. As
Daniel 4:17 clearly states God rules, and God chooses who He places over a people according to that's people behavior. You want to see good leadership? Start praying and converting souls to the Apostolic truth.
Then maybe we will see someone fair placed over this people.
Heidi Cruz, is she a member of the CFR?
