Well, if parallels can be made with the children of Israel, and their exodus out of Egypt into the promised land comparing that with our leaving the world behind, follow Jesus, and entering into heaven... what does the bible say about those Israelites who were allowed into the promised land? Just a good place to begin looking to see how God set the precedent then, and how it will be with the final judgment, and who gets to enter into heaven (promised land) having left Egypt (the world) behind.
