Exclamation Rand Paul Presser on Legal Action Against NSA

STREAMING LINK

I don't believe it's started yet, but Rand Paul is holding a presser about legal action against the NSA's "overreach of power."

He's stated before his intent to file a class-action lawsuit against the companies who are part of PRISM, the NSA internet data grab; and against Verizon and others for the phone grab.

There are already lawsuits by the ACLU and a conservative organization against PRISM and Verizon, this would be on top of those.

History: The SCOTUS ruled last year, IIRC (possibly earlier this year), that Amnesty International had no standing for its lawsuit against the NSA because it could not prove the existence of the phone/internet data grab.

Well, now we have proof this has happened, is happening. I would imagine Amnesty International will refile.

Starting now!
