Disturbing Worship to be a Crime in MO
Mo. bill would make it a crime to disturb worship
Senate President Pro Tem Rob Mayer, R-Dexter, told colleagues a person could be charged with the crime if he or she “knowingly disturbs a building used for religious purposes by the use of profanity, by rude or indecent behavior or by making some unreasonable noises.”
The bill is supported by Focus on the Family, and I'm sure is focused on the cases where protesters picket and disrupt churches for what is being preached.
These links go to short abbreviated online stories on this, but the print version today tells of debate on the bill by some conservatives because of fear it may be used against some with different worship styles including "speaking in tongues" and various forms of shouting. Interesting.
