heading out to another state

Our visit to the jungle area and backlands of the state of Maranhao has been very fruitful. Brother Alvear ordained 8 new ministers in this state and several new people repented and several received the Holy Ghost.

Today we head out for the state of Goias where we will have services either Wednesday or Thursday and then on to the state of Minas Gerias for Sunday night and Monday services and then on to Sao Paulo state....a long missionary trip...but oh so rewarding....

Sitting in a little Indian village (not everyone is indian but it is an indian village) yesterday eating in the mist of dire poverty and unbelievable filth...water so dirty you could only imagine how many germs....yet my heart overflowed with joy to know that our son brought light to such a spiritual dark place...

Do we dare despise these precious ones because we have taken our baths and put perfume on? It was also for these little ones also that HE came...

They run to a local bar with their pennies and bought me a coke ( a symbol of kindness)

I cannot forget their smiles....their songs...their hugs for thanking us for coming to them....

Yet we must journey on for there are others....
