A few days ago was Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday. I am writing this in tribute to a great man.
I was 18 in 1980, my fist vote, in the republican primaries I actually voted for George Bush Sr, but in the Election for Reagan. Shortly after I joined the US Navy and served in the submarine service.
We thought of ourselves as Ronnie's kids, and he was good to us. He thought of the people in the military as his children, he loved us, and we loved him back. He would never have put us in harm's way unless he thought it absolutely necessary.
At its zenith, the Roman empire was ruled by Marcus Traianus. Trajan, was Rome's greatest emporer. Ronald Reagan was our Trajan
