Why do you think it's not applied to the NT (which is more broad and open to those who are able to minister, not more binding and restricting)?
And is that alone enough evidence to suggest there can be no "prophetesses" in the NT?
I get your latter point about "because a woman prophesies" she can't be a "prophet." So then, can a woman preach without being a preacher?
