On a weekend trip on the Bible School van somehow or other I displayed my lack of education regarding the barnyard and let it slip that I didn't realize a rooster was a male.
The guys on the van thought it was hilarious and proceeded to educate me about that and a few other things also. And seemed to take great delight in doing so too I might add. You know how guys can be!
