Luke didn't know Jesus/was a Gentile

Yesterday at Church, an older couple asked me about this. I was glad they had been searching, and was excited about their find.

We can grow up in Church never knowing about this kind of thing. I believe this does pose a challenge to the Book of Luke, as he appears to be the only Gentile author of any Biblical Books, and, he never knew Jesus personally. He is also the apparent author of Acts.

I also recently viewed the film, "Hiding and Seeking", and was surprised to learn that devout/extremist Jews would like to see annihilation of the Gentiles. The link below shows part of this film;
