I was thinking last night (in the middle of the night) that we need a thread on here where we can post our favorites and least favorites as far as restaurants go. Especially the chain restaurants. I think it would be ok to also rate local restaurants tho because we never know when we might be traveling to a city and want to know which restaurants are worth going to and which are not.
So here's my thoughts as far as rating a restaurant:
1) name the restaurant and the city it is located in
2) give your rating:
means "don't eat here. You'll be sorry if you do"
means "it's ok. Nothing to write home about, but not disgusting"
means "Not bad. Pretty average"
means "pretty good. certainly a step above average, but they have a ways to go still"
means "well worth it. Make the trip"
means "The food is excellent. The service is outstanding. The price is very reasonable. Don't miss this place"
3) Give us an idea of the price ranges for food and also drinks (if that applies and you partake)
4) Tell us what your favorite foods are at this restaurant
5) Any additional comments you want to make.
I think this probably belongs over in the Chef's Corner, but thought that maybe we could get started here and then perhaps Admin would be so kind as to move it for us?
What do you think? Anyone interested? I'll start out in the next post. My mom and I went to The Melting Pot yesterday and didn't even stay to eat. I guess that's what made me think about doing a thread like this. I would like to have read about it before we stopped in there. I realize there was a thread about that particular place here a while ago, but I guess I missed how much it COST!!!
