Re: Have You Been to WWPF Lately?
Hammondperson,
Glad you had a great service and got refreshed. If the World Wide Pentecostal Wrestling Fellowship International is for you then go for it. You need to align yourself with folks you feel comfortable with.
I have a feeling if old time hymns, no video, no modern praise songs, and hellfire preaching are what you long for and your idea of what Christianity is you are going to be very happy with the WWPF. If you equate screaming and long sermons with annointing all that much better as you will be doubly blessed!
Seriously though you do need to be with and associated with a group of people that as closely refelcts your understanding of Christianity as possible and for you this group sounds like just the ticket. Just keep in mind they are human also and as Sis Alvear mentioned every group has some with bitterness, wrong motives ,etc along with the good folks.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
