When you live together, love each other, etc., etc., how can a week go by with no intimacy? Did I misunderstand you?
Sis. Pressing-On,

Thank you for your input! That is what makes these discussions so
interesting! But sex alone does not for intimacy make. It is the
daily living together, the MUTUAL caring and respect for each other that
helps build a strong loving relationship in a marriage. TOO many times it is
SO one-sided. One can be selfish, always demanding what they want
and perhaps the other spouse would feel so fearful that their spouse will go
elsewhere, regardless of their feelings or situation. When it's that way, it is
sex, pure and simple. Has nothing to do with LOVE.

One of my sons told me one day, "Mom, we cuddle and talk, etc., but
when it's time to go to sleep we move over a little. Just easier to go to
sleep and more comfortable that way. We both need our rest. He had
purchased a very nice name brand mattress and was saying where you
lay is where you stay because you don't move around. It was a mutual
thing. We take care of the intimacy and then go to sleep. Perhaps some-
times no more than cuddling and speaking words of endearment to each
other. And if there is the need for deeper intimacy, it would certainly be
available to both.
If either spouse speaks or acts in a bad ugly way in the morning and goes
to work in a foul mood, they cannot expect the other to fall into their arms
that evening. What we give is usually what we get in return. What we sow
is what we reap.

The Holy Ghost is One called alongside to help us in all our situations.

Hugs,

Falla39
