The normal practice (that I am familiar with) is to ask kids questions first (without mom and dad there). Then separate them from their parents if the answers given or facts known warrant it. But taking custody of the child before asking questions shocks me.

Give me a week and I think I could ask enough questions of children already traumatized by their new environment and forcefully and unexpectedly separated from their parents to implant serious doubt, confusion and perhaps even false memories in the chldren.

This is scary....

I understand Texas is getting around the probable cause "for each mother" by arguing the entire community is one household.

I think that's a shame. Whose "community" is really safe now?
