Coon, this has nothing to do with kindness and ladylike behavior - this does get old. We are all have different personalities - - some syrupy nice, some normal nice and some straight forward. Your wife is one of the sweetest posters here, she's funny, but sometimes she can punch a good blow when needed. I don't think she's any less ladylike because of that.
I don't think just because Dora speaks her mind in a funny and entertaining (and many times factious way) makes her anymore unladylike than anyone else.
